        Therapy

Research shows that talking therapies are the best way to treat most emotional problems

When we meet, we will work together to help you gain a fuller understanding of what you are grappling with and think through with you how best to go forward.

Safe haven

I provide a safe space where you can explore and gain support without judgement.
Therapy can be challenging and uncomfortable as buried feelings can emerge.
The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of creating an alliance.

The way forward

Every person has a unique history and working together we create a pathway through your distress

The aim is to bring relief, reduce confusion, identify changes that can be made and come to accept what cannot be changed.

Adults and Couples

Our struggles are often in the context of relationships.
Gradually we arrive at understandings that bring clarity to engage with both our personal and work lives.

Children

Children use play as a medium of communication. This is through drawings, various materials like family sets, playdough and other toys.
Through play, children create scenarios that offer the therapist a window into their world.
Sessions are often combined with parents to strengthen the relationship between children and parents.

Adolescents

Adolescents often use actions as a way of communication. This may be through self-harm, isolation and defiance.
Working with adolescents requires understanding how young people strive to establish their own identity.
Their use of social media is one gateway to this formation.

Circle of Security

Through the "Circle of Security" programme, parents are able to provide their children with more security in their relationships.
Research has shown this provides a platform for children to respond to parenting better. Secure attachment helps children have greater self esteem and capacity for loving relationships.
